Call for Submissions

Submission guidelines:

For technical sessions (posters/talks) please read the Call for Technical Submissions.
For demos please read the Call for Demo Submissions

Blind Submissions

Blind submissions are targeting contributions highly related with Research, Development, and/or innovation (R&D&i) activities. No matter whether the activity is developed by a research, academic, or industrial institution.

Submissions for blind review must be anonymized, removing any detail that may indicate the authors of the abstract or their affiliation. This information can be included in the final submission after acceptance.

Submissions should be provided as a two page extended abstract. The template is available HERE.

Non-Blind submissions

Non-blind submissions are targeting contributions that are hard to anonymize, such as technical presentations of new commercial products/services, which contain technical insights, or presentations of publicly funded projects. These submissions must be relevant for the community by contributing to strengthening the ecosystem, or allowing to enable and/or foster industry adoption. Commercial marketing contributions are very much welcome in our event but only accessible as part of the sponsoring packages.

Submissions should be provided either as an extended abstract, up to two pages in length, or as a short technical report tackling the following aspects: 1. Short summary of the contribution, 2. Why is this important for the community/industry adoption, 3. How this work contributes to enable/foster the ecosystem, and 4. Target audience. The template is available HERE.

Demos

Any demo must showcase relevance and maturity, either around a chip, FPGA, or software. In addition, it has to be very clear enough to let the viewers understand the relevance of your demonstrator to the RISC-V ecosystem.

Share a link to a short video of your proposed demonstration. This does not have to be of very high quality and be the final demonstration, but it is important for the Program Committee to understand the maturity and the learning from your demonstration. Just use your powerful smartphone to show us what you plan to present !

Important dates and instructions for submission:

Any question whether a submission should apply to blind or non-blind review should be asked to the PC chairs at europe-summit-cfp\@riscv.org before submitting. Please note, the same abstract may not be submitted to both review methods.

Please, bear in mind that accepted posters, talks, and demos must have, at least, one of the authors registered at the event to be presented and having their material (abstracts, slides, posters, and recording presentations) published on the web. The Program Committee will ask for uploading the final version of the poster/presentation (limit 20MB) before the event to confirm acceptance at the according deadlines.

Demos will follow the same structure as posters. Meaning that only live demonstrators will be shown at the expo area during the breaks. No demo recording versions will be allowed during the event.
