Many people in the past have said "Don't make the same mistakes that other architectures have" when it comes to the development of Linux for RISC-V. Despite this warning, many of the same things keep happening, directly affecting the future success of RISC-V. This talk will go into an opinionated description of some of these issues, and why we should learn from previous mistakes in order to save millions of dollars, and not waste precious effort.
